Description
We are looking for individuals to join the APJ IT Site Services Root Cause Analysis Support team. He or She is expected to analyze data obtained from our problem management tool, find the repetitive pattern and eliminate issues at the root level to prevent the issues from repeating itself. He or She must have an analytical mind, perseverance behavior, strong technical skills and good teamwork.
Duties
Pull and analyze data from systems of record on a weekly basis
Aiming performance improvement measures at root causes
Troubleshoot computer problems and determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.).
Able to work cross functionally with various IT Organization to determine process and systems issues.
Effectively analyze must known causal relationships between the root cause(s) and the defined problem
To track and monitor repetitive issues
To document and publish found root cause of Severity 3, 4 and 5 issues to knowledge systems and shared folders
Provide coaching, guidance and point of escalation to other team members.
Serve as liaison between users and the technology department to resolve issues.
Applies advanced functional or technical knowledge to do his or her job at a high level of accomplishment
Functional/technical requirements:
Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems installations and configurations
Advanced knowledge of Desktop and Notebook Hardware fundamentals and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Communication applications (Outlook, IM, SharePoint, etc)
Intermediate knowledge of Network and Voice troubleshooting skills
Intermediate knowledge of Server and Storage Platform troubleshooting skills
Expected to learn and apply Level 2 knowledge to support Dell software application with necessary training provided on the job.
High attention to detail.
Able to work independently and shift hours
Demonstrates an active interest in enhancing current skills and learning new ones;
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in an IT related field.
Strong Communication skills and is customer focus.
MCSE certification or other professional certification recommended.
ITIL Foundation certification recommended.
CCNA certification recommended
