Malaysia: Government Has No Intention To Recognize the UEC

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Government has no intention to recognize the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) of private secondary schools, because it is not conformed with national education system, said Education Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.

He said government would never recognize UEC in whatever reason because it is not conformed with our national education system.

Hishammuddin restated government's position on above issue in a written reply to Gopeng MP Ting Chew Peh.

He said since government has recognized the certificates in some universities in China, it is reasonable for government to recognize the UEC in our country. (Sin Chew Daily)
